On-Site Catering

At the Café, we believe that your event deserves exquisite service, customized menus, and a classic atmosphere. We can provide you with exactly that. Our large and diverse catering menu allows you to customize your special event with delicious meal choices, from casual barbecue to elegant entrees and desserts.

Our two on-site banquet rooms can comfortably accommodate both large and small groups. We have hosted bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, baby showers, anniversary parties, school reunion, birthday dinners, holiday parties and more. Many local organizations hold their monthly meetings in our banquet room and our large viewing screen is perfect for business meetings.

Off-Site Catering

Café Américain can provide a delicious meal for any of your off-site locations. From large, buffet-style meals to intimate, plated dinners, Café will work with you to create an exceptional menu that is just right.

Our off-site catering is set up by our staff prior to the start of your event. Our staff also services the stations throughout the event, keeping food replenished and guests happy.

Event Information & Policies

Planning your event should feel effortless. Whether you’re hosting on-site or off-site, Café Américain makes the process simple, transparent and customizable. Our team is here to help with every detail, from your first call to the last course. For those who’d like extra support, we also offer a dedicated event coordinator at a reasonable rate to handle all the logistics and ensure your event runs smoothly. 

  • Deposit: To reserve your date, you must make a $250–$1,000 deposit (based on the event size). This amount will be applied toward your total event cost. 
  • Final Payment: The balance and final headcount are due 72 hours before your event. The confirmed number will be your guarantee for billing (food, tax and gratuity).
  • Additional Charges: Any remaining balance or add-ons will be due at the end of your function. 
  • Room Charge: See Private Rooms section. 
  • Food & Beverage Minimum: $1,200 minimum purchase required. 
  • Separate Checks: Not available for groups over 20 guests. 
  • Linen Service: $5 per table for white linen tablecloths upon request. 
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancel at least 30 days before your event to receive a full refund of your deposit. 
  • Event Coordination: Professional event coordination available upon request at a reasonable price.
  • Private Rooms: A deposit may be required based on availability.
    • Small Room (LSU): 28 people max, $100 deposit refundable
    • Larger Room (Glynn Alton Room): 60 people max, $100 deposit non-refundable
    • Larger Room (New Orleans Room): 85 people max, $100 deposit non-refundable
